Hotel am Mirabellplatz

One of our favorite hotels in Salzburg! The room was very spacious and beautifully appointed, with many added conveniences/technology details that we appreciated. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was maybe the cleanest we’ve ever seen. Everyone at the front desk exuded sincere warmth and hospitality - all in a setting that was like stepping back in time. Would recommend highly.

I would not stay at this hotel! It is very dangerous and they have horrible communication and don’t listen. The shower is very slippery. It is the worst hotel out of all the countries I have visited and never experienced anything like this. We stayed here and the front desk and manager are not helpful and rude. Our power in the room went out and Sofia from the front desk fixed it, and then 5 minutes later the power went out again. She came and fixed it again, and then power went out about an hour later again. I was in the bathroom when this happened and could not see and hurt my leg. This is a hazard! Sofia is not an electrician and refused to have a technician come to look at it and fix it. She is very robotic and does not listen to the customer’s concerns. When we first brought up the power going out, there were other tourists who were also expressing that their power went out too multiple times throughout the day and no one ever came to fix it. This hotel does not have a manager available past 4 pm to speak with and Sofia refused to not only have a technician come, but also refused to call her manager. There should always be a supervisor or manager available. Also they could not move us to another room because they claimed they are full, when hotels should always have an extra room available for emergency situations like this. When we finally did speak to a manager Christina the manager told us that we can just go to another hotel and asked what do we want her to do about it rudely without any concern or empathy. The day before our power went out, we asked the front desk if we can have a doctor come to the room due to not feeling well. We were told several times by a manager and another employee at the front desk they can call a doctor for us but not if it is after 1 pm. So we waited until the next day, and then they tell us it is not possible to have a doctor come. Then when we pushed it and pushed it, they finally say that they can call one. These employees are liars and lazy and don’t want to call people and help.I would not even give a 1 star, I would only give a zero!

This is a wonderful quaint hotel right on the Mirabelle Square downtown Salzburg. It is literally a five minute walk to the Old Town in Salzburg. The rooms are clean and comfortable. But above all is the staff - every person is extremely helpful and very pleasant. We will definitely be coming back to visit Salzburg and this is the place where we will stay without any doubt.
